We believe in giving back to our communities, supporting those in need to help ensure no child goes to bed hungry. We live these values every day. It’s at the core of who we are.
Americold works closely with Feed the Children, a leading charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of those in need. Together, we connect with local organizations to ensure our support and donations make a difference for under-served families.
133 Americold U.S. sites have been recognized by the Global Cold Chain Alliance with Gold and Silver status certifications under the Energy Excellence Recognition Program for driving energy excellence in temperature-controlled warehousing.
Creating ideal environments within our facilities is the epitome of what we do, so environmental stewardship is foundational to us and our operational principles. We implement energy management best practices in our facilities around the globe, driving sustainability from the ground up. From energy efficient building designs and layouts, to waste walks, Associate efficiency coaching, water conservation actions, supporting local recycling programs, and more are integrated into our practices and operations to evolve standard processes and continually improve our performance across our network.
At Americold, we’re using the latest energy management technology to keep operations at the highest levels of efficiency.
We use real-time metering and monitoring tools at more than 90 percent of our facilities. And where available, we participate in utility demand-response programs – lowering emissions and helping to reduce our carbon footprint. It’s all part of our commitment to energy sustainability, to you, and to a healthy planet.
