Less than 90 minutes west of Chicago lies Rochelle, IL, home to two Americold cold storage facilities. The Americold Logistics, Caron Road facility is a traditional distribution center with on-dock order staging and 27 dock doors.
Connections to BNSF and UP rail lines provide for post-production staging of large volumes of product which can then transfer cross-country to DCs closer to your distribution markets and customers.
Alternatively, our traditional Associate workforce can accommodate customized order fulfillment requests to support your delayed-allocation strategy for regional distribution. A large onsite drop-lot and location adjacent to US Interstate 39 and US Interstate 88 confirm this Americold site is the perfect location from which to consolidate, stage, and distribute products throughout the Midwest.

Rochelle is known as the “Hub City” because of its location at the intersection of several major transportation routes. The first transcontinental highway in the United States, the Lincoln Highway, passed through Rochelle, as did US-51, one of the first highways to go the full north–south length of the United States.
