Mercado Central Facility
Americold’s Mercado Central facility serves as a versatile logistics hub, offering cold storage solutions across frozen, chilled, ambient, and dry temperature ranges. With 13,500 pallet positions, it provides flexible, high-capacity storage designed to support a wide variety of products and customer needs. As part of our integrated network, Mercado Central helps ensure reliable, efficient movement of goods throughout Buenos Aires and the surrounding region.
Pilar Facility
Americold’s Pilar facility is a high-capacity logistics hub designed to support a wide range of temperature-controlled needs. The site features 9,000 frozen storage positions along with four specialized freezing and dry storage tunnels, each capable of handling up to 50 pallets for efficient product processing and throughput.
Pilar is also authorized by SENASA for the export of beef, pork, and poultry, enabling customers to access key international markets with confidence in product quality, compliance, and cold chain integrity.
Pilar Dry Facility
Americold’s Pilar dry storage facility offers flexible, high-density warehousing designed to accommodate a wide range of product specifications. The site includes drive-in racking with capacity for up to 700 pallet positions, complemented by 500 self-stacking pallet positions arranged across up to four levels, depending on product requirements. In total, the facility provides 1,200 pallet positions, supporting pallets up to 1.80 m in height, A-frame pallets measuring 1 m × 1.20 m, and loads up to 1,000 kg.
This configuration ensures efficient space utilization, product safety, and reliable handling for diverse dry-goods storage needs.
